The Australian Public Policy Institute's (APPI) Policy Challenge Grant is an annual program providing grants to outstanding academics conducting applied policy research, translating existing research for policy audiences, or engaging with policymakers through outreach activities. 

The APPI Policy Challenge Grant aims to: 

• Tackle the biggest public policy challenges through the generation and communication of new insights. 
• Foster engagement between academics and policymakers. 
• Support improved policy outcomes informed by applied public policy research. 

The APPI Policy Challenge Grant is unique: the Institute will offer dedicated support to grant recipients to translate their research outputs for a policy audience and to maximise the impact of their research through targeted communications and engagement.
